Refer & Earn
If SwiftlyCRM is working for you, the people most likely to benefit next are the ones you already talk to - your suppliers, your clients, the business next door. Refer & Earn gives you both credit when they join.
How It Works
When someone signs up using your referral link and upgrades to a paid plan, you both receive $5 in account credit. The credit comes off your next bill automatically - there's nothing to claim.
There's a short wait between them upgrading and the credit landing - see When Credit Is Awarded below.
Finding Your Link
Go to Settings → Refer & Earn. Every workspace gets its own referral code and a shareable link.
Share the link however you normally talk to people - WhatsApp, email, a LinkedIn post, or in person. Anyone who signs up through it is attributed to you.
You can regenerate your code
If your link has been shared somewhere you'd rather it wasn't, regenerate it from the same page. Referrals already recorded against the old code are kept - regenerating doesn't wipe your history or any pending credit.
When Credit Is Awarded
The referral counts once the person you referred activates a paid plan. Credit is then held for a short period and released when either of these happens:
- They make their second payment - normally their first renewal, or
- 30 days pass and they're still on a paid plan
whichever comes first. The Refer & Earn page shows the date your held credit is due.
| Stage | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending | They signed up with your link but haven't confirmed their email yet |
| Verified | Email confirmed, still on a free plan |
| Qualified | They upgraded to a paid plan - your credit is on hold |
| Credited | The hold has been released - credit is on your balance |
Why the wait?
The hold means the reward tracks people who genuinely stick with SwiftlyCRM, rather than paying out on a signup that's cancelled the following week. It also keeps the programme fair - without it, the reward would be worth more than a month's subscription, which invites gaming rather than genuine referrals.
If the person you referred cancels or drops back to the free plan before the hold ends, the referral doesn't pay out. Nothing is deducted from you - the credit was never added.
You can watch referrals move through these stages on the Refer & Earn page.
Spending Your Credit
Credit is applied automatically to your next payment. If your credit covers the whole bill, nothing is charged at all. Anything left over stays on your balance for next time.
You don't need to do anything to redeem it - it comes off at checkout.
Important
Credit is account credit against future SwiftlyCRM bills. It isn't cash, and it can't be withdrawn or transferred to another workspace.
The Rules
A few limits keep the programme fair:
- You can't refer yourself. A code can't be used by the workspace that owns it
- One referral per email. If an address has already been referred, it can't be referred again
- Up to 50 referrals a month per workspace
- Refunds are clawed back. If someone you referred is refunded within 60 days, the credit awarded for that referral is reversed. Your balance is never driven below zero. If the refund happens while the credit is still on hold, the referral simply doesn't pay out - there's nothing to reverse
Who Can Use It
Anyone in your workspace can share the link. The credit is awarded to the workspace, not to the individual who shared it, so it reduces your organisation's bill.
